Vintage Michigan Duck Decoy by Ben or Frank Schmidt, Mallard drake or hen

Description

I think this mallard used to be a hen from what can be some seen from what's under the outer coat of paint.  You can just see the "U" shaped feathers that were stamped into the fore part of the body but they have gradually filled in with paint every time it was repainted.  Measures 18 1/4" with glass eyes and a broad flat bottom.  The ballast weight's been removed and the holes have been filled in with putty.  Structurally sound with some areas of paint loss.  I've been meaning to repaint it for years and have never got around to it.  I think it might be one of Frank's birds but I'm not 100 o/o sure about that.
