Vintage Bluebill Hen Duck Decoy, Toronto?, Solid Body

Description

This is an old bluebill hen that I bought at an antique shop in southern Vermont in 1987.  I paid what is this listing's starting price for it then.  Although the decoy is solid it is the classic shape of the Toronto school, 14 1/3" long and the body is 11 3/8" long.  It has glass eyes and three 1" round ballast weights underneath flush with the bottom.  On the bottom is the worn initials "WM" in orange paint.  The eyes are two different shades of yellow, but who cares, as you can only see one at a time.  The head swivels in both directions but stops when the bill reaches the back.  The brown color of the paint is actually slightly lighter than in my photos.
