Lovely Antique Duncan Early American Sandwich No. 41 12” Egg Relish Plate~EUC. Described in my Duncan Glass book as “true to the design and feeling of the old pressed glass makers of sandwich on Cape Code. It has a scintillating quality which comes from it’s all- over star and scroll design. Early writers said this design ‘sparkled like the dew-moistened leaves in the early morning’ it is sturdy and durable, yet it has a lacy loveliness that earned it the name ‘Lace glass.’” Originally made in the 1940’s.
This preowned piece has no chips or cracks. Holds 12 deviled eggs with plenty of room for other crudités. It’s absolutely stunning.
