What is a facility code?
The facility code is a unique number that represents your building. This number will be the same for all employees at a single locations. You may see Facility Code abbreviated as FC and some companies use the term Site Code. Some access control systems allow multiple facility codes to accommodate companies with more than one location. Please ensure you have the correct facility code.
What is the start number?
Each proximity card must have a unique number, the start number is simply the next serial number in your sequence. There is a risk that card numbers can be duplicated, so this number must be accurate when ordering to ensure you receive cards that are not duplicate to the cards that are already being used in your access control system.
Please note:
you are responsible for tracking and management of your proximity card start numbers and facility codes. We do not keep records of this information and it will be required each time you order programmed proximity cards. Please ensure that you have the correct Facility Code and Start Number available before ordering.
